Collaborative works w/ Alice Sheppard Fidler

Our work focuses on the spaces in-between; binary relationships, perceptions of proximity and environments that are in a state of flux. Empty buildings become flesh like and our cameras adopt the tender gaze of an admirer even if what is under admiration is degrading.

We use movement exercises, influenced by somatic practices, to encounter raw environments such as empty shops and building sites. Movement is a conduit for connection; stimulating collaboration and informing the forms, installations and public interventions we go on to create. We aim to manifest haptic perceptions, looking without the eyes, feeling without touching, abandoning a complacency to permanence, seeking to move beyond the physical.
